“There is a storm of disinformation threatening the democracy of Georgia, similar to what we witnessed in 2020, following the same scenario outlined in the McCain Institute report. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament.
“We observed their [opposition parties] briefing yesterday, which manipulated numbers and claimed that 300,000 votes were in question, along with various pieces of evidence and video material demanding that the results from 180 polling stations be declared null and void.
We assert that what they presented is truly shameful, as they base their statements on pseudo-evidence.
There is a storm of disinformation surrounding the democracy of Georgia, just as we experienced in 2020, and it follows the scenario outlined in the McCain Institute report. They are adhering to the framework set out in that report”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
