We particularly welcome the efforts of the Hungarian authorities to actively protect their national identity, values, including Christian values. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at a media briefing after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.
“The fact that the Prime Minister’s visit is carried out during Hungary’s presidency of the Council of the EU carries a special burden. As you know, our main foreign policy priority is integration into the EU, and from this point of view, Hungary is of great importance. Throughout this period, Hungary has been an ardent supporter of Georgia on the path to European integration, and Hungary played a special role in Georgia"s acquisition of candidate status. For this, I would like to personally thank Viktor Orbán, as well as all our Hungarian friends, the Hungarian government. Of course, you have a lot of hope for support in the future.
Also, I want to emphasize that we are connected by common values. We particularly welcome the efforts of the Hungarian authorities to actively protect their national identity, values, including Christian values, and to take care of people’s personal identity, for which concrete steps are being taken. Of course, we have exactly the same values and we fight for the same values”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
