Effective October 1, schools across Georgia, except for Adjara, will reopen for 1st to 6th graders. They will return to in-person classroom learning, said the Minister of Education, Mikheil Chkhenkeli.
“These changes do not apply to Adjara. If parents in this region prefer to carry on remote learning, the Education Ministry will ensure it”, - added the Minister.
It has yet to be stated when pupils in higher grades will re-enter their classrooms in other cities and regions of Georgia. Chkhenkeli has promised to make an official announcement regarding the subject in the near future.
Kindergartens will be welcoming children back on October 12, countrywide, except in Adjara.
