In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease and to actively monitor the citizens, special police infrastructure has been arranged and police checkpoints enacted in the village of Matani, Akhmeta Municipality.

Employees of the Emergency Management Service of the MIA arranged field tents at the entrance and exit ways of the village Matani. Police already started to monitor preventive activities imposed against the spread of coronavirus at checkpoints in round-the-clock regime.

All citizens entering and leaving the village of Matani are subjected to on-site thermo-screening and testing. The police forces are taking preventive measures in cooperation with the staff of the National Center for Disease Control. Entry and exit to Matani and other villages in Akhmeta Municipality are not restricted and no other strict quarantine restrictions imposed.
