Two persons detained in Tbilisi for armed robbery – the MIA

The officers of Isani-Samgori Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities detained N.A. (DoB 2000) and R.S. (DoB 1997) in Tbilisi for armed robbery.

Committed crime envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that on September 6, detainees assaulted the wholesale store of Iveria Ltd. in Varketili and stole a large amount of cash under the pressure of weapon.

Part of the appropriated cash and the weapon of crime – signal firearm was seized as evidence.

Detainees have already pleaded guilty.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery committed in group, article 179, II part, sub-paragraph “C” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
