The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia reviewed the application on the fact of legality of funding of “Alliance of Patriots”.

“In order to inform the public, we would like to state that the Organic Law of Georgia on Political Associations of Citizens defines the permissible forms of funding of political parties. According to Article 341 of the same law - The State Audit Office shall carry out monitoring over the legality and transparency of a party’s financial activities. The State Audit Service is authorized to examine the legality of a party’s financial disclosure statement and respond appropriately to violations of the legislation related to party financing and if there are grounds to do so, apply sanctions established by law;

The above-mentioned statement, submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office, was sent to the State Audit Office for further response”, - reads the statement.
