The Government of Georgia is ready to provide assistance, as needed, to the family members of the victims of Shatili road accident.

Based on the information disseminated on social media, the family members of the victims who are abroad have asked for help, as an exception, with the border-crossing process and the subsequent procedures upon their return to the homeland.

Upon receiving this information, the National Tourism Administration (NTA) contacted them. With the help of various government agencies, the NTA will ensure their quick return and will assist them in resolving all travel- and border-crossing-related issues. The NTA, the MIA, the Border Police, the Emergency Management Agency, and other agencies are actively involved in the process.

According to the existing information, a family member of one of the deceased will enter Georgia from Azerbaijan. As a result of communication with the Georgian Embassy in Israel, it emerged that the family members of other victims of the tragedy will also arrive from Israel.

Upon their return to Georgia, they will be met by separate vehicles at the border and undergo PCR testing.
