Police detained A.D. (DoB 1994, currently on probation for robbery) and Kh.Ts. (DoB 1996) for armed robbery committed in group. Committed crime envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainees assaulted cashier-operator of “Liberty Bank” – N.D. (DoB 1956) in Chanchkhalo village, Shuakhevi municipality. Detainees physically assaulted the victim and under the pressure of the cold steel, illegally appropriated up to 7000 GEL and fled from the place of crime by the victim’s vehicle. At this moment, the victim has already been transferred to the hospital, his life is not in danger.

Law enforcers managed to detain A.D. and Kh.Ts. in Keda municipality, as a result of immediate police activities, when they were trying to flee the place along with the appropriated cash. Policemen seized the cash fully from the abducted vehicle as evidence. The weapon of crime was seized as evidence as well.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery committed in group, crime envisaged under the article 179, sub-paragraph “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
