Busa Jvania remanded in custody

Besarion Jvania, who was apprehended for the attempted murder of businessman Gogi Topadze’s grandson Levan, has been remanded in custody.


The defendant was asking to be released on GEL 50,000 bail which was denied by the court.


Uncle of the charged person Gogla Zhvania and mother Nino Zhvania attended the court hearing.


The son of former Prime Minister Zurab Jvania was detained for wounding Levan Topadze. Perpetrators of similar crimes are sentenced to from three to six years in prison.
