The Prime Minister got acquainted with the works to repair the damage caused by the disaster in the village of Ghari

The Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia got acquainted with the course of the works to repair the damage caused by the disaster in the village of Ghari in Racha together with Maia Tskitishvili, vice prime minister and minister of regional development and infrastructure.

The swollen Rioni Riven caused the road near the Ghari Bridge to collapse and damaged the pipes of Oni’s central water supply system. Despite this, water is currently being supplied to Oni by alternative means.

Representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure provided the head of the government with information on the ongoing works in the area damaged by the disaster. At the moment, the riverbed is being cleared, after which works to rebuild the road and the water supply system will begin. Households left without water due to damage to the water main network are being supplied with drinking water.

In addition, the restoration of the damaged bridge connecting the villages of Jinchvisi and Gomi is actively underway. Efforts to set up a temporary access road to the bridge have also begun.
