Heavy hail hits the villages of Telavi municipality

Heavy hail has hit villages in the Telavi municipality. After midnight traffic was stopped by hail along the Kvareli - Telavi highway, and was restored an 1,5 hour later due to fallen debris and trees.

High winds took off roofs of over 20 houses in the village of Kondoli. Vineyards, corn fields and plantations have been damaged.

According to the state representative in Kakheti Irakli Kadagishvili, about 160 hail rockets were launched into the sky to disperse the hail.
