Former patrol police chief Davit Tsinaridze, who was arrested on charges of domestic violence, has been released on GEL 30 000 bail.
The defence filed a motion to change the measure of restraint, but the Prosecutor’s office did not agree with the motion, saying that the measure of restraint should not be changed as no new circumstance had been identified.
Tsinaridze was detained by law enforcers on April 28. According to the Prosecutor’s office, he was drunk, verbally and physically abused his wife, and then threatened to kill her with a firearm, during which he fired a shot.
