The Members of the Working Group on the Environmental Pollution in Kvemo Kartli at the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, with the initiative of the Chair, Nino Tsilosani and in view of scheduled monitoring, visited Kazreti to have a tour in RMG Copper and RMG Gold territories.

The Working Group, composed of MPs, as well as the Public Association “Sakdrisi Committee for Cultural Heritage” and the Organization “Green Policy Public and Scientific-Research Platforms” has been set up 2 years ago with the aim to study the damage inflicted by RMG operators to the environment.

The Group obtained the information evidencing the grave nature of the damage inflicted to the environment by the company, on the basis of which, the company was given the respective term by the Environmental Ministry in the format of the environmental responsibility to ensure the works as follows: water monitoring, greening and ecology, dust blocker systems, road cover etc. to be accomplished in 2020. The company is monitored by the Working Group.
