Communication Equipment handed over to the MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department

With the financial support from the US Defense and Threat Redaction Agency (DTRA) radio and communication system equipment was handed over to the Coast Guard Department under the MIA Border Police of Georgia.


Within systemic update of the MIA of Georgia, the maritime border control capacity of the coast guard of Georgia is being developed and the radio communication system - upgraded. More than GEL 1 million-worth communication equipment fully meets the Coast Guard requirements and significantly improves the quality of connection.


The US DTRA is implementing a number of important projects with the Georgian Border Police to support the development of the country’s land and maritime border control capacity.
