The case of Giorgi Rurua discussed at the Tbilisi City Court.
During the hearing, the defense filed a motion on new evidence. According to the lawyer, they requested the attachment of the documents obtained by the Ombudsman to the case. The prosecution did not agree with the motion.
The judge partially satisfied the defense’s motion and attached part of the evidence to the case for study.
The investigation accuses Giorgi Rurua of violating the III and IV parts of Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms. Rurua detained on charges of illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms.
