The Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia together with Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili and Shida Kartli Regional Governor Giorgi Khojevanishvili inspected ongoing construction works of a public school in the village of Mejvriskhevi, near the occupation line.
The school, which is envisaged for 150 pupils, will be ready in the autumn. About GEL 2 400 000 will be spent on construction from the state budget.
The Municipal Development Fund of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is carrying out construction works of 5 new schools and rehabilitation of 5 schools in Shida Kartli.
Construction of 59 schools and rehabilitation of 100 schools is ongoing across Georgia. The total value of the project is GEL 220 mln.
