There will be no maidans in Belarus, President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with KGB Chairman Valery Vakulchik.
“National security is a top priority. In this regard, the State Security Committee together with the president plays a crucial role in the protection of the independence and sovereignty of our state. We are absolutely aware of the goals of certain “wind blowers”.
These goals are clear: to organize a maidan in the run-up to the presidential election or on the voting day. That was their plan. Using this meeting I would like to warn you and all people who will hear us, I want to warn all those “maidan fanatics” that there will be no maidans in Belarus”, - concluded the Belarusian leader.
