The Government of Georgia will reconsider the existing agreement with Gazprom to reduce the natural gas prices. Such a statement made today the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
“Against this backdrop, when the competition is getting stiffer and oil product prices are falling worldwide, we plan to reconsider the contract with Газпром to cut gas prices.
I am not entitled to name precise numbers, but I can say that gas prices will fall by around 15%. Today, this market is very competitive and prices are gradually dropping on it. SOCAR and Газпром are both following this trend. If the necessity for this emerges, prices will go even lower”, - explained Natia Turnava.
