The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigations is summoning the country’s former President and MP Petro Poroshenko for questioning on May 26 as a witness in a case opened into the illegal transfer of cultural valuables across the state border.
“We notify Poroshenko of the need to come to the State Bureau of Investigations at 11:00 a.m. on May 26, 2020, for questioning as a witness... You are being summoned in connection with a criminal case investigating the circumstances of the transfer of a collection of cultural valuables, which consists of 43 paintings of world-renowned artists, across the customs border of Ukraine, concealing it from customs control”, - reads the statement of the Bureau.
