US Defense Threat Reduction Agency handed over personal protective equipment to the MIA for an effective combat with covid-19

Within the bilateral cooperation, to prevent the spread of covid-19, US Defense Threat Reduction Agency handed over Personal protective USD 250,000 worth equipment to the MIA of Georgia.


DTRA handed over the following equipment to the Ministry of Internal Affairs: Googles / Safety Shields -2 150 units; Disinfection spray – 1 500L; Respirator N95 – 12 260 units; IR THERMOMETER - 576 units and Disposable white coverall suit with protective gloves, attached boots -12 260.


The mentioned equipment will be distributed to different structural departments of the MIA: Border Police, Emergency management Service and Special Tasks Department.


Within the framework of many years of close cooperation between the Ministry and the United States, a number of successful projects have been implemented, which have significantly contributed to the strengthening of the capabilities of MIA.
