Police detained the “Thief in Law” R.U. (DoB 1993 nicknamed “Reziko Jvarski”) in Tsalenjikha for membership of the “Thieves’ World”. Committed crime envisages from 9 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Investigation established that detainee entered Samegrelo region from the uncontrolled, occupied territory of Abkhazia. Investigation also found out that R.U. was residing abroad for years and was involved in illegal activities for which he was detained several times by the foreign law enforcement agencies.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of being a “Thief in Law” – crime envisaged under the article 2231, II part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
