The military personnel of the II Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Defence Forces have been strictly controlling the Sarpi-Batumi road for the sixth day already. For 24 hours, the military servicemen have been actively disinfecting trucks entering the Sarpi customs with special solutions and providing thermal screening of passengers.
The movement is also strictly controlled on the Kobuleti-Batumi and Khelvachauri road sections, where the soldiers of the II Infantry Brigade together with the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs control the movement of vehicles and check the health condition of citizens.
After the announcement of the quarantine all over the country, the Western Command of the Georgian Defence Forces in Adjara controls 6 checkpoints. Three of them are in control of the military of II Infantry Brigade.
The other three checkpoints are limited movement points, where Special Operations Forces are mobilized as part of the state of emergency.
