Globally, more than 935 000 people have been diagnosed with the new respiratory virus, which causes an illness known officially as COVID-19. Over 193 700 of those patients have recovered, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.


A pandemic of the novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 47 000 people around the world.


The COVID-19 is affecting 203 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances: the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan, and the Holland America’s MS Zaandam cruise ship.
