The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Defense, will arrange the checkpoints on the territory of the country.
According to Vazha Siradze, the Head of the Patrol Police Department of the MIA, the representatives of the Ministry will control the movement of citizens.
“With the aim to ensure the enforcement of significantly tough measures imposed within the frames of the state of emergency by the Government, officers of the MIA will continue to operate in a round-the-clock regime to enforce strict quarantine restriction all across the country.
Due to high epidemiological risk, police checkpoints were arranged at the entrances of Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Poti and Gori to control the health of citizens and monitor their movement.
