More than 200 professionals have been trained on the subject of COVID-19 - US Embassy in Georgia

The US Embassy in Georgia released a statement saying that the embassy is proud to support the National Center for Diseases Control and Ministry of Health in efforts to respond to the threat of novel coronavirus.

“Years of cooperation between the U.S. CDC and its Georgian counterparts is helping Georgia in its efforts to respond to the threat of COVID-19.

The latest trainings included over 200 professionals across Georgia and focused on proper identification and surveillance of COVID-19 cases, as well as infection prevention and control practices.

We are proud to support the Georgian NCDC and the Ministry of Health, and we look forward to continuing to work together to protect the health and safety of the Georgian people”, - reads the statement.
