A pregnant woman has tested positive for a new coronavirus in Bolnisi. Such a statement made today Lali Turdzeladze, the Director at the TSMU First Universality Clinic.

According to her, the woman, at 24-25 weeks of pregnancy, was diagnosed using a rapid diagnostic test.

“She has recently admitted to our hospital. The patient has fever. The rapid test detected a new coronavirus and now we will check it in the Lugar Laboratory. It should be mentioned that this is the first pregnant women in Georgia, who tested positive for COVID‐19”, - said Turdzelade.
