The 1 000 rapid tests that have recently arrived from China are intended for the local population of Marneuli. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze.
“These rapid tests are similar to those applied in Georgia, but the testing time is shorter - an 1,5 hour instead of 6 hours. This will allow us to manage the flow of patients more rapidly. We are still waiting for an additional number of tests.
1 000 tests arrived at this stage. We expect another 3 000 tests at the end of the week and then 5 000 more.
Totally, we signed a contract for 200 000 tests, which will be brought to Georgia step by step. You know that there is a shortage of tests in the world, so it is very difficult to buy them”, - concluded the Minister.
