As a part of the State of Emergency regime declared throughout the country, the Government of Georgia banned social gatherings of more than 10 people, including weddings, funerals, etc.
The above decision aims to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.
In addition, the decree issued by the Government specifies that as a part of the State of Emergency, the freedom of assembly and/or demonstration is also prohibited.
However, the above restriction does not apply to:
A) Assembly of persons in medical and public institutions, defense forces, special penitentiary institutions, law enforcement agencies for the purpose of carrying out the functions entrusted to them;
B) Public transport, unless it is requested to suspend activities during the State of Emergency;
C) Implementation of construction-infrastructure works.
