According to the Council’s decision, all air traffic will be completely suspended starting 20 March and the only flights to be carried out will be those operated by Georgian Airways - in coordination with the Government of Georgia - with the aim of repatriating Georgian citizens.
Furthermore, all Georgian citizens returning from foreign countries by air, as well as by sea, will be quarantined. To this end, as per the prime minister"s instructions, additional quarantine zones will be set up in the vicinity of the Larsi, Red Bridge, and Sarpi border crossing points, which will provide the government with greater control over the situation.
Additionally, according to the Coordination Council’s decision, all retail outlets with the exception of food facilities working on delivery, grocery facilities, as well as open agricultural markets, pharmacies, gas stations, and facilities providing banking services will be closed.
The Prime Minister instructed the economic team to submit concrete proposals as soon as possible, which will be implemented in addition to the economic stimulus package that was launched recently.
