The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting of the National Security Council.

The current situation witnessed on the background of a new coronavirus influx discussed during the meeting.

A special focus has been made on the risks associated with economic security and challenges in a short- and long-term perspective.

It was mentioned that no need exists at present to declare a State of Emergency in the country, though the Government of Georgia has been adhering to the specific Action Plan since the first day of the calamity and will take decisions as things progress.
