The President of Georgia thanked the diplomatic corps and political parties for their agreement on the electoral system.

Salome Zourabichvili talked about this issue in Zugdidi, after a meeting in the regional administration building. According to her, the agreement is a step forward for democracy.

“I welcome the agreement reached personally and as the President of Georgia. I would like to thank the international community and the ambassadors who have played a very important role in the achievement of this agreement, and all the political parties that participated in these discussions. I think this is a step forward for the country, society, democracy”, - said Salome Zourabichvili.

The President of Georgia is in the region of Samegrelo, she already met with the local authorities.
