The fight against coronavirus is a global challenge and the Government must not rest to fight it. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made during today’s Government meeting.

“The World Health Organization highly and effectively assessed the actions of the Georgian government and, of course, the Ministry of Health in the fight against the virus.

Everyone should remember that coronavirus is a global challenge and a common problem.

We must increase our effectiveness. While some of our politically-engaged counterparts think that the virus is targeting the political spectrum, we all understand that this is a battle where we all should win. It is the battle where we all have to mobilize the economy and minimize the impact on our citizens.

We are obliged to thank doctors, border guards, customs officers, and we must always do this until we finally defeat this challenge”, - concluded Giorgi Gakharia.
