Chacha can be diluted in water and used as an antiseptic. Such a statement made Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Head of the Center for Disease Control and Public Health, while talking about the preventive measures for the spread of coronavirus.

According to him, due to the spread of the coronavirus, the shortage of antiseptics is not only in Georgia but around the world and other remedies can be used until the problem is solved.

“Pharmaceutical companies in Georgia and everywhere are working very intensively in order to eliminate this deficit. But at the same time, we have other remedies too - there is no shortage of soap. We can wash our hands with soap. We also can dissolve the alcohol in the water. Chacha can be dissolved in water, it has antiseptic properties and can be used”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
