Former President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili will no longer be protected by bodyguards.
“Yesterday said wholehearted THANK YOU for the excellent service and goodbye to my bodyguards - to the best team of dedicated brothers in arms. One more politicized decision to undermine president’s institution by lost GD”, - tweeted Giorgi Margvelashvili.
The ruling party already answered the former President. According to them, a year after the expiration of the term of office, senior officials, including presidents, are no longer on the list of persons protected by the Special State Protection Service. However, those whose life and health are in danger may still be protected by law.
